SpaceX’s Starship, the most powerful launch vehicle ever built, successfully completed its fourth flight test on Thursday. The uncrewed test took place at the private Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas. The launch included the upper Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy rocket booster. The spacecraft separated from the booster, achieving orbital insertion, while the booster experienced a soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico. SpaceX aims to demonstrate the reusability of the Starship and the ability to survive extreme heat during reentry. This test follows the approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.
