S&P 500 futures are nearly unchanged, coming off a losing week. Nasdaq 100 futures have gained 0.2%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures have also seen a minimal increase of 8 points. The previous week saw all three major indexes end their five-week winning streaks. The Nasdaq Composite had the largest decline of over 1.3%, followed by the S&P 500 slipping approximately 0.4%, and the Dow experiencing the smallest loss of around 0.1%. Concerns regarding inflation were raised after higher-than-expected wholesale prices in January, reinforcing the Fed’s inclination to lower interest rates gradually throughout 2024. This week, investors will focus on the leading index and nonmanufacturing economic data, as well as corporate earnings reports from Home Depot, Walmart, and Palo Alto Networks.
