Most women in the US worry that abortion bans could put them or a loved one in danger, survey finds

Abortion bans enacted since Roe v. Wade have caused concerns among women of reproductive age in the United States, according to a survey. About 1 in 7 women aged 18 to 49 reported having had an abortion, with similar rates among Democratic and Republican women. Approximately two-thirds of women worry that abortion bans could impact the safety of future pregnancies or their livelihoods. This fear was more prominent among Democratic women but shared by a significant number of Republican women. The survey also revealed difficulty accessing abortion services, with many unaware of abortion policies in their states.
