Abortion bans enacted since Roe v. Wade have caused concerns among women of reproductive age in the United States, according to a survey. About 1 in 7 women aged 18 to 49 reported having had an abortion, with similar rates among Democratic and Republican women. Approximately two-thirds of women worry that abortion bans could impact the safety of future pregnancies or their livelihoods. This fear was more prominent among Democratic women but shared by a significant number of Republican women. The survey also revealed difficulty accessing abortion services, with many unaware of abortion policies in their states. Abortion will be on the ballot in multiple states, including Florida and Arizona, where support for legalizing abortion is high among women.
